Rev. Baldwin Avendano

Baldwin Israel Avendano is an Elder Methodist pastor, Senior Pastor for the Calexico United Methodist Church, in Calexico, California. Born in January 28th of 1985, Baldwin was raised in Mexico by his family as members of the Methodist Church of Mexico. In 2000, at the age of 15, he feels God’s call to serve as a pastor. In 2004, while he was studying at Arizona Western College, he feels the strong need to orient his education totally focused on theological and pastoral preparation. In August 2005, he attends Seminario Metodista Juan Wesley in Monterrey, Mexico. He earned bachelor’s degree in Theology in June, 2009. He served as a pastor of the Methodist church of Mexico from August 2009 to July 2018 and cabinet member of the Northwest Annual Conference of Mexico between 2010-2018. In 2011, he became full elder of the Methodist Church of Mexico. In August 2018 Baldwin joins Calexico UMC to serve as a local pastor.
