Rev. Brian Belting

Pastor Brian is the Lead Pastor at Kailua United Methodist Church. He is a native of Minnesota, and has lived in California, Japan and North Carolina. He graduated from Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles and Duke Divinity School in Durham, NC. Brian was ordained in the North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and served at University UMC in Chapel Hill, NC, as a community organizer and director of missions and evangelism. In 2016 Brian and his family moved to Hawaii to serve at Kilohana UMC in East Honolulu. In 2018 he was appointed to Kailua UMC. Brian and his wife, Ashley, have three children: Hudson, 7, Grayson, 5, and Stella 3. Not growing up in the church, Brian has a passion for inviting and connecting people to the table of Christ where we experience God’s love and the love of Christian community.
